Restoration project – Fender Strat 1969 Neck (Jul/Aug 2024)
The neck on this Strat appears to be an original 1969 Fender with decal and headstock shape confirming my suspicions.
The Body is a bit of an unknown on this one, as it had been re-sprayed previously with all serial numbers or date stamps no longer visible. Also the Bridge Tremolo had been routed out to enable left hand conversion by the previous owner.
The plan on this is to keep the neck totally original (just in case) and to respray the body in a pearlescent white !! New IronGear “Pig Irons” are going to be installed in the neck and middle position as the original pickups were no longer with the guitar unfortunately.
